Above right is a female figure holding a flag with the letters VOC in monogram with A above, representing the Dutch East India Company (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie). In the centre, one of the winged putti displays a copy of G.E. Rumphius, Het Amboinsche kruidboek, Amsterdam 1741, open at Plaat XX (p. 91) showing the fruit of the tree Cycas rumphii (queen sago). In the background is a coastal fortification in the East Indies, not obviously identifiable with either Ambon or Batavia
