Lettering in the left-hand print consists of name and Biblical reference in each of the circles. Tribal names are shown in boxes on the central horizontal plane. In the middle is a large box containing quotations from Numbers 1.33 and 26.37. The right-hand print is similar, but without the tribal names. The banners on either side of David's name read 'According to S. Matthew. According to S. Luke'. The box towards the bottom contains quotations from the second book of Haggai. Appended to the lines at the bottom are plaques reading 'By succession' and 'By nature'
