Description

Called Kitab-i viladat-i Iskandar - 'The book of birth of Iskandar' or 'Iskandar horoscope' - this manuscript contains the horosocope of a Timurid prince, Iskandar Sultan. Personal horoscopes were quite common in the medieval Middle East, but this one is one of the finest examples of its kind. Written in 1411 by the court astrologer of Iskandar Sultan.
