Both wear saffron robes, raised sandals, beads around the neck and arms, and have tilaka (religious markings) painted on their foreheads, upper body and arms; the man has long hair and grey beard and wears beads in his earlobes; the woman wears her hair in a chignon and has gold earrings

Lettering

Gintoo Myreyjee(?) man & wife ; enthusiast Lettering handwritten in ink near the lower edge of the image, and (in a different hand?) in the border. The character represents a superscript v(?), and indicates that the word 'enthusiast' is a gloss on the indistinct word following 'Gintoo'
