About this work

Description

Collection of illustrations of plants, a few coloured.

Some of the illustrations have been roughly coloured in water-colour, the remainder drawn in red or brown ink.

The MS. is probably of Italian origin.

The names are given in Latin, Greek, and Arabic, but many have the name in one, or two of these languages only.

A few of the plants have short references in Latin, mostly to Dioscorides or Matthiolus.
