"On Menstrual Hygiene Day 2014 [...] I returned the Victorian Lady Bags which I may have 'borrowed' a number of days previously from university toilets with the blessing of some of the teaching, cleaning and maintenance staff, and disseminated among audiences at some comedy shows and science communication events for people to improve and augment. A Victorian attitude to menstruation is not what we're looking for, so I decided to modernise these ladies with the help of some #periodpositive speech bubbles provided by my science-loving pals [...] In fact, you may even find a tiny reversible and reusable (empty speech bubbles on the other side) zine (which conveniently fits perfectly inside one of these bags when folded to A7 paper size) in the next bag you take."--From Adventures in menstruating! #7, page [10].
