Description
In the foreground a surgeon and his servant boy are letting blood from a well dressed woman's arm whilst a physician is examining a urine flask. Background right, a surgeon operates on a man, possibly performing an operation for cataract

The composition is similar to that of paintings by Balthasar van den Bossche. It may be a copy of one of his works. A version with many differences, attributed to Hendrick Govaerts, was in a private collection in Minden, Westphalia, in 1976
