About this work

Description

The Globol insecticide was launched in Germany in 1928 and subsequently became a product of the Jeyes Group. It contained the organophosphate Dichlorvos (DDVP), which has been investigated in the USA and the UK for possible carcinogenic effects. This poster advertising Hexo Globol mentions its "long lasting effects through a modern combination of respiratory, digestive and contact poisons". The words Hexo Globol are in shocking pink on a black ground to represent its effect on insects
