Segment 1 A trip to a social club for people with cerebral palsy is shown. The narrator explains that the film will show the work of three centres that care for people with cerebral palsy. The warden of the first centre is shown, and the narrator says that he needs over £70,000 a year to run his centre. A mealtime at the centre is shown. The warden of the centre has a meeting to talk about the finances of the centre and what other facilities can be provided. The residents visit a miniature railway. The Manchester conference is shown again. A headteacher of a school for people with cerebral palsy speaks about how education should be provided by the state, not by voluntary organisations.
