Description

Magazine insert from November 1901 advertising "Bile Beans". Printed on pale orange paper it shows a wash illustration of a grinning, young urchin, teeth missing, sitting on a barrel, smoking, cigarette in his right hand. Inside we have the story of Miss Lizzie Starbuck who suffered rom headache, indigestion and debility until she discovered Bile Beans. The beans, invented by Charles Forde, are also recommended for rheumatism, influenza, colds, dyspepsia, flatulence and "female ailments". It includes free sample coupon no. 74963.
