"A very shorte and compendious Methode of Phisicke and Chirurgery Containeinge the Cures inwardly and also the Cureinge of all manner of woundes on the bodie together with remedies for the stone and the causes and signes thereof, etc. As also the making of Sirrups and all manner of oyles and waters whatsoever."

On the fly-leaf, "Jane Jacksone her Booke: written in the yeare 1642".

The text is within red rules, and the title-page, and the heading of the second leaf are written in red.

1 volume 12 ll. (last 4 bl.). + 124 ff. + 1 l. + 26 bl. ll. folio. 34 x 221/2 cm. Original stamped calf binding, rebacked: clasps wanting. Ff. 42, 43, 45, 50 are wanting: lower margins badly damaged by damp.
