About this work

Description

Letters to Robert Dunn, surgeon, from various correspondents, with a few letters to his family. Many of the writers were medical men practising in London. The subject-matter is largely connected with Dunn's own publications and interests, including phrenology and the structure of the brain. Notable are letters by W.H.O. Sankey (1813-1899) in 1864, concerning his proprietorship of Sandywell Park lunatic asylum, near Cheltenham. Family letters include one item to Robert William Dunn (d.1888), M.R.C.S., partner in the firm of Dunn and Son of the Strand, London.

A list of these letters is available on our library website.
