Notes

The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "'Queenie' looks sweet but a bit tragic in an over-ambitious draped chiffon outfit that was beyond the skills of her dressmaker. Typical of working–class boys dressing up for fun, this costume was possibly part of a stock held by the photographers Deardens at their Blackpool studio for just such a clientele."
This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
