Notes

The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Publicity release photograph with printed signature of Dick Emery (1915-1983). British comic Emery was essentially a product of the variety age, performing comic sketches adopting a series of protean character changes. It was the kind of live act that transferred well to television, and his 'Dick Emery Show' was a top-rated draw on that medium from 1963 to 1981. His drag characters were of the pantomime dame variety, but he also presented 'camp' clichéd gay stereotypes such as the one depicted."
This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
