About this work

Description

In 1816, the Patients' Accounts, which had previously appeared in the General Ledger (RET 3/2/1), were placed into a separate, parallel, Patients' Ledger series. Supporting volumes for the Patients' Ledgers are the General Cash Books, RET 3/2/6, Journals, RET 3/2/5, and Patients' Disbursements Books RET 3/10/1. Accounts in the Patients' Ledgers are presented under name of patient, with income (Cash Disbursements, Patients' Maintenance) under Debits and Cash payments under Credits.
